News and Updates Nov 22, 2015: Black Night hold backs - really dark! + Black Night cross hatchlings 2015 available
We are the caring Switzerland-based gecko breed situated at Lake of Constance. Sunset Geckos offers you healthy, beautiful leopard geckos offspring of the morphs Black Night, Jungle Bandit, Electric Tangerine and Tangerine Albino. Shortly also crested geckos will be for sale.
We really care for the well-being of our animals. That's why it is imperative to us to provide you with the best advice prior to your purchase, raise our reptiles according to animal protection and to be available for your questions about care and feeding also after handover. That's also why we provide a German care sheet for free to the entire community.
For the well-being of all geckos - whether phelsuma grandis, correlophus ciliatus or eublepharis macularius - we are available for your questions at any time no matter if it is a Sunset Gecko or not. Bottom line happy keepers and healthy geckos are more important to us than selling our geckos.
We hope we could fascinate you about the beautiful reptiles.
The Sunset Geckos Team
Franziska, Juerg and Cindy Niederberger
Sunset Geckos is the ecological Leopard Gecko breed in Switzerland with supreme Geckos such as the Black Night or the Albey's Line-bred Snow. We purchase our breeding geckos with the best global breeders such as Ron Tremper, Ferry Zuurmond and Rebecca Hassler. With the passion of a family breed we raise our hatchlings and deliver them personally to the best keepers we find for them in Europe.
Sustainability is not just a vision, it's our passion.
Visit our Swiss Leopardgecko website in German for the time being. Details on the Black Night Leopardgeckos are also available in English.
Sunset Geckos is a joint venture of Franziska, Cindy and Juerg Niederberger.
In October 2013 we purchased our first leopard geckos following many other animals in our family: two dogs, tortoises, a reef aquarium with clown fish and others. Experience with animals is around next to the love to them.
While Cindy was reading books about the new hobby I got caught as well and showed both interest in genetics and getting top breeding animals from around the globe. Franziska on the other hand took care of operations: purchasing terrariums, getting the right groups together and taking care of the feeding and cleaning. But there was also another thing, Franziska was majoring in:
She is our certified breeder. In Switzerland and especially in the Canton of Thurgau this is taken seriously. A license is required to sell geckos and to obtain it from the cantonal veterinary authorities she required both experience and detailed knowledge. Luckily she was able to make an internship with the biggest commercial reptiles breeder in Switzerland to get certified.
The 2014 season was incredible. All offspring were reserved up front and the future keepers took their time to visit us several times to learn about the needs of their future leopard geckos and for us to evaluate if they would look good after our animals. Understand that we do not give our offspring to everyone. The well-being of them is important to us. Therefore we do not offer reptiles at shows to people we do not know well before.
Thanks for your visit online and don't hesitate to contact us or come by to visit our breed in Switzerland!
Best regards,
Juerg
